what category?
For the Powershot A series, the latest would be the A560 with 7.1 megapixel and it’s being announced on February this year.
The A640 and 630 is being announced August last year.

Those two cameras are fairly new, but not the newest. If you go to the link below you will see them listed as current models but the A720 IS and A650 IS are a little newer, and in the same category.
They are both still excellent cameras though. If you can find one of them at a much lower price I would still recommend them. However, if you would like Image Stabilization one of the newer ones might be nicer.
