Okay so I need a new digital camera. I want one with at least 10-12 megapixels, 2.5-3 inch lcd screen and very thin. What camera is best for not a ton of money but is still a really good, reliable camera? Thanks!

I am looking for a security camera that records all of the time. I don’t know what would be best for that to go to the internet or dvd. I have no knowledge at all on these. Someone please help me.
all depends on how much money you want to spend, the most expensive route is to get a dedicated DVR and camera package from Swann or Lorex, anywhere from $600 on up, you could also get IP security cams from Wilife and Swann. the cheapest option is to get a DVR pci card and convert an obsolete PC to a DVR. I use a Swann DVR PC guard card with a Swann bullet cam and a lorex BW all weather cam. the card is installed on an old athlon xp 2500 computer with a wireless card up in my attic, i acces via web. the swann card has good clear instructions on how to do this.
I am starting my own web site and i was wondering what kind of camera was best for shooting the content. This web site is going to have alot of video and pictures and i want them to be very detailed and top notch. I am sure that for the video camera i would need to go with a professional HD but i was wondering which one would be best. I want movie caliber film production. As for the pictures i want them to be the quality you would find in magazines. Thanks for any suggestions and help.
A professional Canon Camera. An HD one which has a memory of 5 gb. and u could buy more. And it has perfect quality photos dat come out very good. Try it.
I plan on going to Las Vegas and I need a camera that will take good night shots. I want a camera that will capture all the lights and buildings in the background. Does anyone know which camera will do the best in a setting like that? The digital camera I have now is terrible and the backgrounds always come out completely black. Any suggestions will be great!
You will need a camera with shutter priority or manual mode. You also need to have a tripod in order to capture the background at night. A DSLR would be the best to this job.
I’m really interested in photography, but I don’t have a good camera. I’m not looking for a super expensive, high tech camera. Just one that will take decent photos. Also, are there any specific details about cameras that could help me out in choosing which one is the best?
(affordable being less than $300)
In our local camera store, you can get a used Nikon N90s (with a grip) for about $150. That would leave you with about $150 for a good zoom lens to start with.
The N90s was a very good semi-pro camera in it’s day & it isn’t any worse today. With the grip it would have been over $1000 when it was new.
I want to be a photographer, but I don’t which camera is the best to use. And suggestions?
I’d suggest the Nikon D40

It’s very user friendly, and will really help you get used to such higher-end cameras since you’re new.
The Canon XS recommended above is also a very good camera, but it’s much more confusing to a new user
