Stephen Wiltshire has been called the “Human Camera.” In this short excerpt from the film Beautiful Minds: A Voyage into the Brain, Wiltshire takes a helicopter journey over Rome and then draws a panoramic view of what he saw, entirely from memory.

The human mind has …
The human mind has such amazing potential. I feel sad whenever I see people that don’t use and expand their minds, and just go on with their pathetic, tiny lives. To never once ponder the seemingly limitless possibilities of this universe.

This man was …
This man was severely autistic at birth. He didn’t speak until he was five. You think you’re transcendent and you see some sort of ubiquitous truth about where human evolution is going? He is a remarkable person but unless you know someone autistic or have someone in your family who is autistic you can’t know the depth of the disability. You think he is free? I think you are incredibly ignorant and you should probably shut your mouth about the whole thing.

English TV is such …
English TV is such a boring structure, it’s all just made to keep you locked in a very limited scope of reality, “Oh my god look at this guy! He’s so different, it’s frightening!” Nahh cuddie, he’s just 10 steps ahead, where we’ll all be soon. I’m sure it’s not that he possesses extra stuff that indoctrinated minds don’t, I’m sure it’s the lack of conditioning on his brain that just lets him be free and access that ability, which is very possible for all to do. Love you Anchara, but u out!
